Low Income Senior Discount Overview English & Spanish - printable version
Qualified Franklin PUD customers can receive a 15% or 30% monthly discount based on age and total annual household income. The discount is effective the day the certification is completed and approved. Only one discount per household is allowed and will be applied to the residence where customer resides. A certification will be required every year or upon request of the District in order to continue receiving the monthly discount.
How to Get Certified:
- To apply please visit Franklin PUD’s main administration building, located at 1411 W. Clark St. in Pasco Monday – Friday, between 8:30a.m. and 5:00p.m.
Required Documents:
- Proof of address - (WA State Driver License or ID)
- Driver license or ID - for age verification
- Franklin PUD statement
- One of the following:
- Copy of bank statement(s) showing a direct deposit of Social Security or pension benefit(s)
- Benefit award letter(s) from Social Security or Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must provide required documentation listed above.
- Applicant must have electric service under Rate Schedule No. 1 Residential and Small Farm Service.
- Applicants must be 62 years of age or older and have a total annual income (including spouse or co-tenants) for the previous calendar year as set in the guidelines below:
